Elizabethton, Tennessee is the birthplace of American Democracy and is the ideal place to celebrate July 4th! The Veterans War Memorial on Armed Forces Drive to the Monument with the mountainous background, forms a beautiful and patriotic backdrop to America's Independence Day celebrations. This is a community event, beginning with a parade along Historic Elk Avenue, a spectacular community block party and ending the day with an Antique Car Show sponsored by the Carter County Antique Car Club. The following is a guide to all of the 4th of July events in Elizabethton.

 

PARADE FLOATS

Anyone can enter a float in the Fourth of July Celebration Parade. Download the Float Application, read carefully, fill out completely, enclose fees and mail to the Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce at P.O. Box 190, Elizabethton, TN 37644.
